silver Yantra roll - Old Ta Kood protection amulet M/F
This spectacular amulet is a rolled-up leaf white metal (low silver content) with a mystical Yantra engraved in it.
A Yantra is a symbolic representation of various aspects of the divine. It consists of a matrix of interlocking geometric figures, such as circles, triangles and symbols. The Yantra elicits a specific feeling of harmony in the viewer and can therefore play a role in meditation. It is said that the mystical Yantra reveal the inner foundation of the shapes and forces that are abundantly present in the universe. Yantra serve as symbols that can uncover and reveal cosmic powers.
The Thai people are very peaceful and have not waged war in the last 300 years. Their last great war was against the Khmer from Cambodia in the 15th century. In those days, a holy monk wrote a Yantra of which it is said that it to makes people invulnerable to war violence, knives, spears, arrows and bullets.
This Yantra is said to form a protective circle around the wearer. This so-called Ta Kood amulet is also often worn on the belt. There are also monks warriors who have the Yantra tattooed on their shoulder as a blessing.
The metal is an alloy of white metal, a bit of silver and copper. After the blessing the amulet is sealed. The image of the holy monk has been applied to the outside.
The amulet hangs from a double wax cord with a silver lock. The necklace is 50 cm long without the amulet, but it can be lengthened or shortened upon request for free.
The Talisman is approximately 6,8 cm long and was made in a monastery.
