Such a chain braid is really a lot of work, but the results are great. This is a typical job for men in Thailand. The length is 62 cm but can easily be shortenedThe amulet is made from a bronze alloy with iron and then encased in brass. We see nine Buddha's on the front and another nine on the back nine. These 18 Buddha's symbolize the 18 lives of Buddha that he lived before he became Buddha Gautama.
I have bought a small number of these amulets (there are no two exactly the same) on the border between Burma and Thailand.
